Every year Citizens of United States of America celebrates Hispanic Heritage month by celebrating culture, history and contributions of American Citizen whose Ancestors came from Mexico, Spain and South and Central America and The Caribbean. This year Hispanic Heritage Month Starts from Thursday and ends on Saturday.
This month is dedicated to Hispanic Americans, Latinas, Latinos and Latinx identifying people. Hispanic Americans are the largest minority group in the United States of America. Hispanic Americans have consistently helped to make United States of America strong and prosperous.
In this month we must recognize the contributions and the importance of the Hispanic and Latin Americans in the United States of America. This celebration is started as “Hispanic Heritage Week” in 1968, at that time President of USA was Lyndon Johnson. But later it was expanded by American President Ronald Reagan for a 30 day period and it was enacted into law on August 17, 1988.
The Independence day of Mexico, Chile and Latin American countries El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua falls within this month. Also Columbus Day falls within this month.
Hispanic Heritage Month theme of 2022 is Unidos : Inclusivity for a stronger nation.
