Review of supernatural horror film Hellraiser (2022). Directed by David Bruckner with a screenplay by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski.

David Bruckner's Hellraiser (2022) is the remake of Clive Barker’s horror classic Hellraiser (1987).

35 years and 9 sequels later, there's another version of Hellraiser streaming on Hulu that signals comparative thoughts and gets recognizable plot points.

Director David Bruckner and screenwriters Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski collaborated again after Creep (2020).

Like the old version, the story starts with the obtaining of that puzzle box, this time by a lady named Serena Manaker.

Serena Manaker works for the wealthy, unconventional, and horny businessman Roland Voight (the role is played by Goran Višnjić).

Serena Manaker carries the cursed toy to Roland's palatial home in the Berkshires, where he hosts orgies.

Roland Voight Inevitably solves the puzzle, sacrificing the body of a random young guy to the Cenobites.

After that, the movie jumps ahead a few years to what appears to be New York, where Riley and her bf Trevor are having sex.

This movie is a safer version of Hellraiser because brutal or uncensored scenes are very less in this movie compared to the Original.

The presence of a few of the Cenobites is almost identical to the look of the monsters in the original.
