The famous American Rapper Coolio passes away at 59. Snoop Dogg, Michelle Pfeiffer and Ice Cube pay tribute.

 Coolio was among hip-hop's biggest names of the 1990s with hits including "Gangsta's Paradise" and "Fantastic Voyage".

Coolio passed on at the Los Angeles home of a companion, long-term manager Jarez Posey told The  Associated Press. The reason was not promptly clear.

He won a Grammy for best solo rap performance for "Gangsta's Paradise," the 1995 hit from the soundtrack of the Michelle Pfeiffer film "Dangerous Minds"

Coolio was born in Monessen, Pennsylvania south of Pittsburgh, later Coolio moved to Compton, California.

Coolio spent some time as a youngster in Northern California, where his mother sent him because she felt the city was too dangerous.

Coolio started rapping when he was just 15 and knew the proper rapping by 18 it was what he wanted to do with his life.

Rapper Coolio's death has not officially been released, But it’s believed he died of a sudden heart attack.
