Tuesday at the Cannes Film Festival, Johnny Depp was moved to tears by how well his movie was received.

Variety shared on social media a video of a seven-minute standing ovation for Depp's film "Jeanne du Barry," during which he looked moved.

It was the actor's first movie project since his ex-wife, Amber Heard, sued him for libel last summer.

In their cases against each other, a jury found them both guilty of defamation, but causes more damages to Depp.

"The main point should be that getting a movie made that you care about in the first place is a miracle," he said. "You're the winner right there."

Depp also told Variety, "I don't feel like I'm being boycotted by Hollywood because I don't think about Hollywood."

In April, the head of Cannes, Thierry Frémaux, told Deadline that the Depp movie was chosen to start the festival because it was "a beautiful film."
