In a video acquired by TMZ on Sunday, the “They Cloned Tyrone” star was seen aboard a boat on the Chicago River with a few other people.
The 55-year-old Foxx grinned as he waved to onlookers who yelled out to him.
In his first Twitter in months, the celebrity wrote, “Boat life,” adding that he was “celebrating summer” with his whiskey business Brown Sugar Bourbon.
The public appearance comes two months after his daughter Corinne Foxx said her father was recovering at home after being discharged from the hospital due to a medical issue.
On May 12, Corinne Foxx posted an “update from the family” on her Instagram account and thanked “everyone’s prayers and support.”
The 29-year-old commented on her story, “Sad to see how the media runs wild,” and she reposted a since-deleted social media image from RapTV, a music website, that said the family was “reportedly preparing for the worst” following Foxx’s health emergency.

She said, “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, resting.” In actuality, he played pickleball yesterday.
