It has been informed that Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth had decided to end their marriage since it had evolved into a platonic relationship.

As the actress and the talent agency revealed the news on Friday, a source shared with us, “There’s no great controversy or drama, just two people who effectively became co-parents and don’t have any romantic love for each other anymore.”
A second source confirmed to us that Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth “will remain working together” and confirmed that they had not yet initiated divorce proceedings.
The first source claims that the Academy Award winner, who is now 47 years old, “once enjoyed the idea that [Toth] was just a solid, trustworthy and stable guy,” which she found to be refreshing following “years of s–t” with her first husband, Ryan Phillippe.
Witherspoon tied the knot with her co-star in the film “Cruel Intentions” in the year 1999 when she was already 23 years old and carrying the couple’s first kid.
A daughter, Ava, now 23, and a son, Deacon, now 19, were born to her and Phillippe, both aged 48 before the couple divorced in 2006.
In 2008, the divorce between them was finally formalized.
The exes are now able to co-parent their children as friends after experiencing some difficulties in the past, which they each credit to the fact that they were so young when they decided to get married and establish a family.
