Pfeffer is also accused of trying to steal Officer Fitzgerald’s gun and searching through the officer’s pockets when Officer Fitzgerald was laying on the ground and in severe condition. This is alleged to have occurred while Officer Fitzgerald was unconscious. In the end, Fitzgerald was unable to overcome his injuries and passed away.
Pfeffer is accused of committing a carjacking immediately after the officer was murdered. According to the authorities, the carjacking occurred close to the location of the murder. Early on Sunday morning, a suspect was taken into custody in Bucks County by the United States Marshals Service as well as local law officers. The suspect was transported to Philadelphia not long after the arrest, where he will undergo further processing.

A home invasion robbery that took place near Temple University was reportedly carried out by armed offenders. On Saturday evening, just after 7 o’clock, Temple University was notified that a shooting had been reported in the 1700 block of Montgomery Avenue. The incident took place on the opposite side of the street from the university.
