Dolly Parton New Rock Album
This new album will be titled “Rock Star,” and it will comprise cover versions of well-known songs that were originally performed by artists such as Prince, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Earlier this year, in October, Parton expressed her desire for the project, which is slated to be released in the latter half of this year, to include contributions from Elton John. The iconic country singer has already stated her wish for the project to feature both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. The record in question is being produced by Led Zeppelin.
John Fogerty, Steve Perry (the former singer for Journey), and Steven Tyler are slated to appear on Dolly Parton’s “Rock Star,” which the singer just revealed will feature collaborations (the lead singer for Aerosmith).
During the program, Dolly Parton mentioned that she planned to even have Cher make an appearance on the record. I’ve been putting in the effort to get a song for her, and we’ve been putting in a lot of effort to find the accompaniment that will complement it in the best way possible. On the other hand, I believe that will be a very interesting adventure.”
Earlier in the interview, Dolly Parton was questioned on BBC Radio 2 regarding her next album, which goes by the title “Rock Star.” In response, she stated, “I’m working on that album, and I’m hoping that it will be coming out sometime next fall, in time for the Christmas season the following year.” In light of this, I’ve settled on the idea of performing a few of my compositions in addition to several classic rock songs that have been popular over the years.
Dolly Parton’s recent induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame served as the impetus for the singer to create a rock record. The singer credits the honor as her inspiration. When the legendary artist submitted her request to be removed from the list of nominees for the Hall of Fame in March of the previous year.
Shortly after Dolly Parton first teased ‘Rock Star,’ the record producer and engineer Steve Albini, who is most well-known for his work with Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey, and The Stooges, offered to produce the album for her. Albini is best known for his contributions to the albums of Nirvana, Pixies, and The Stooges. Albini’s work with these bands is mostly responsible for his widespread recognition.
Dolly Parton is planned to make a cameo appearance on a new single that will also feature Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, and several other musicians during this period. The upcoming movie 80 For Brady will have a song titled “Gonna Be You,” which will be made available on Friday, January 20.
